wasabi presents teton gravity research “one for the road” uk premier and tour

wasabi are proud to say that we will be bringing the feature epic One for the Road from Teton Gravity Research to the UK this year. One For The Road is a ski film following some of the world’s most progressive snow sports athletes, documenting their lives on the road, and capturing some of the most stunning riding to date. Road trips are an integral part of every adventurer’s life and a conduit to define one’s being. Journeys to new lands shed light on every skier’s personal mission. Whether shredding with long time friends, or meeting a seasoned character in some for off country, wisdom is gained through these new experiences. The road trip is a metaphor for every skier’s existence.

James Winfield – wasabi powderhound
James is a professional ski instructor who has taught skiing and snowboarding all over the world. His passion is for freeride, in as deep snow as possible, although he is happy as long as he is on skis of any sort, be it in the park, racing, or cruising on the green runs with students. He has competed in a variety of disciplines, Big Mountain comps in New Zealand, Rail Jams in Japan, and Dryslope races in England.
With wasabi he’ll be posting photos and videos of his travels, skiing and general shenanigans.

2011 – The year of wasabi
…maybe not as the Chinese calendar goes, but round these parts that is what we hope for. A long list of new year’s resolutions have been made, well actually it’s pretty short:
- Do more good stuff! Reduce the desk time and get out to enjoy the epic UK winter we’re enjoying.
- Get the bindings on the Hellbents, buy the Salamon Quests and build a massive kicker on Arthurs Seat on the next heavy snow fall
- …er…oh and of course get wasabi up and running again!
The last one of these is in full effect thanks to our friends at Expedient Marketing ( we love you guys). Some in-depth research happening over the next couple of months, plans for next season being written and wonga being sourced…..all going well, this will all add up to 2011 being the year of wasabi!
